Debbie Taylor wanted to create a studio where she could share her love of dance with others and everyone was welcome. Oklahoma Salsa Fever was created. This vision was shared by her protege, Angel Balsavich. Since 2003 the two have worked together bringing their passion for dance to others. They have especially worked to further the Latin Dance Scene in Oklahoma. When we started the first socials to provide more opportunity for our students to dance, we did it because there was not anywhere to go on Saturdays for dancers. Through the years, all other studios have followed suit and now there are multiple places to go dance! The hunt for the perfect "home" ended with the Old School Business Center in 2013. To commemorate the occasion, Adelante received it's new name. Debbie's vision had come to fruition. Debbie and her ability to see past 'What is' and see 'What can be' is what drove the studio on. Angel took over ownership of the studio in 2020 amid the COVID-19 Pandemic. Debbie hopes to return to teaching and still holds an important role at the studio. The studio is home to instructors of all different types of dance that includes but is not limited to, Salsa, Casino Rueda, Bachata, Merengue, Belly Dancing, Tribal Belly Dancing, Kizomba, Zouk, Aerial Silks, Clogging, Line Dancing, Country Dancing, and various children's classes. Being centrally located we have students from Norman, Newcastle, Moore, Oklahoma City, Edmond and surrounding areas. Come dance with us!
